My name is Irina Karavaeva. I am a Storyteller, a fairytale therapist and the head of the experimental laboratory “Fairytale School” of the Institute of Integrated Fairytale Therapy.

I live in the city of Berdsk, Novosibirsk region, on the border of the forest and the city.

Married, mother of three children - two sons (25 and 17 years old) and a sweet daughter (8 years old). Since the birth of our darling daughter, fairy tales have burst into my life, and gradually a fairytale-based play methodology has developed, according to which I worked in a children’s game studio for 3 years, organizing a “Fairytale School” from scratch.

The difference between the fairytale-game method and other programs: we do not learn letters as incomprehensible icons, we recognize the letters and immediately in the first lesson we begin to put them into understandable and simple words: MOTHER, DAD, BABA, etc. The child understands the meaning of word formation through a fairy tale, playing with beeches as with ordinary toys.

A case from one's life:

I had one boy who really loved to brag and interrupt everyone. When we started playing a fairy tale about the letter Y, I gave him the role of the letter Y. Suddenly all the animals (the children put on dolls - gloves or animal masks) refused to play with the letter I and ran away from it. It was a game, but the processes in the child’s soul were real.
