Can I be expelled from the institute? What to do if you were expelled from the university - step-by-step instructions and recommendations. The Ministry of Education warns: why you are expelled from a university or college

Expulsion from a university is a fairly common practice of punishing students. The most common reason is poor performance. This threatens both public sector employees and students on a paid basis; numerous warnings from the dean’s office in such a situation are not obligatory. In addition, reinstatement at a university after expulsion for poor academic performance is not an easy task, because your reputation and status as a “slob”, “truant” and “low student” have already been tarnished.

Main reasons for expulsion from university

All of them can be divided into respectful and disrespectful. In the first case, it is one’s own desire, transfer to another university, or medical reasons. Disrespectful includes:

  • academic failure;
  • systematic absenteeism (they either directly lead to expulsion or lead to academic failure);
  • violation of rules and regulations educational institution.

Expulsion from the university for poor academic performance

The abundance of unclosed “tails” or in the language of the dean’s office “failure to complete the curriculum” is the most common reason for expulsion.

Problems of this kind are possible if:

  • three or more disciplines in one session are not “closed” (they cost two marks or there is no access to the exam);
  • one subject was not passed by the certification commission (including two retakes);
  • the academic difference is not “closed” (when changing a specialty);
  • debts were not submitted within the deadlines established by the dean’s office;
  • the internship was not completed (the necessary reports on its completion were not provided).

Usually, debts roll in like a snowball, and at the end of the semester the surprised student learns that he will soon have to join the army or look for a job, because he will no longer be able to study here. The easiest way is to prevent such a situation in advance, approach teachers in problematic subjects, and, if necessary, order coursework online with us to access the session.

What to do after expulsion from the university?

If you couldn’t avoid trouble, then you need to understand what to do next.

The Ministry of Education warns: why are they expelled from a university or college?

The procedure for expulsion from the university is quite simple: the dean’s office notifies you, explains the reasons, issues an academic certificate, which confirms the fact of completion of training and contains information about all subjects passed with grades.

Reinstatement after expulsion for academic failure is one of the rights of an ex-student. In this case, it will no longer be possible to be on a budget again. Restoration occurs to the same course if all “debts” are cleared, or to the previous course with the need to re-take the material already learned.

It is also possible to enroll in another university after expulsion with the need to pass an academic difference - to cover those subjects that were taught in a given educational institution in the previous year, but you did not take them at your previous place of study.

We are also ready to help with recovery, namely closing debts and paying academic differences. With us you can write a custom essay, coursework, test papers to order, etc. In most cases, this is what is required to pay off debts and recover.

The expulsion of a student from a higher educational institution is a procedure that is best never to go through, but, nevertheless, it is required to be well represented to every student.

expulsion from the university for poor academic performance

It should be noted right away that the expulsion of a student is a step-by-step process that must be carried out in accordance with current legislation. When making a decision to expel a student from the ranks of students, the rights and interests of both the citizen and the higher education institution must be taken into account.

The issue of expelling a student at the initiative of the administration of an educational institution is considered by a special educational commission.

There are several reasons why a student may be expelled from a university, which can be divided into two groups:

  • The student’s own desire, which may be caused either by a transfer to another educational institution, or a decision to complete his studies, or other reasons;
  • Initiative of the university management due to failure to implement the curriculum, including low academic performance or failure to eliminate current academic debt; gross violation of the provisions of the charter and internal regulations of the university; low class attendance without good reason; failure to appear for exams without reason. Also, failure to return from academic leave, gross disciplinary violations, as well as, in the case of studying on a commercial basis, arrears in tuition fees or violation of other terms of the contract by the student can serve as a reason for expulsion.

Let's now look at the mandatory procedures for expelling a student at the initiative of the university administration.

When a student is expelled for failure to complete the curriculum or for academic failure at the initial stage, the dean of the faculty prepares a reasoned proposal for the student’s expulsion indicating the reason for expulsion and the date of expulsion, which is signed by the rector (vice-rector) within 3 days and transferred to the student personnel department for issuing an expulsion order. The student must be familiarized with the submission upon signature.

The expulsion of students for violation of duties stipulated by the internal regulations and other gross disciplinary violations is determined by Order No. 185 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation adopted on March 15, 2013, by the procedure for applying disciplinary measures to students and removing disciplinary measures from students.

According to this procedure, before applying a disciplinary measure, the university administration must request a written explanation from the student. If after three school days the student does not provide the specified explanation, then a corresponding act is drawn up. It should be noted that a student’s refusal or evasion to provide a written explanation is not an obstacle to his expulsion from the university. The expulsion order contains the following entry: “expelled from the student body (indicate full name), course number, specialty, form of study” and the basis and date of expulsion are stated.

Next, the student should sign the bypass sheet. This will require visiting several services of the educational institution, including the utility block, library, etc. Only by presenting a signed bypass sheet will the student be able to receive back the original documents on basic education (usually a certificate of complete secondary education). The record book is also handed over by the student and, together with an extract from the expulsion order, is stored in the archives of the educational institution.

In addition, a former student can write an application to receive a standard certificate of study at a university (academic certificate), which records the fact of unfinished higher education.

In the event that a student for some reason cannot appear for documents, this can be done by an authorized representative (with a notarized power of attorney) or his legal representative (if the student has not reached the age of majority).

The procedure for expulsion from a higher educational institution is unpleasant for both the administration and the student. For management, this is a long, labor-intensive process that requires the preparation of a long list of documents and strict adherence to the procedure for expulsion from the university established by law. The culprit of the emergency will also have to go through not the happiest moments in life, so it is better not to bring the situation to the boiling point and know exactly why they can be expelled from the university.

Reasons for expulsion from university

According to Article 61 of the Federal Law on Education, there are two grounds for expulsion from a university: the initiative of the higher educational institution and the desire of the student, if he:

  • decided to transfer to another university;
  • changes place of residence;
  • are unable to continue their studies due to family (life) circumstances or due to deteriorating health.

At the request of the university, this is always an exception for unjustified reasons, which are considered to be:

  • Non-payment. Full-time and contract students correspondence departments You should be especially careful and control the deadlines within which you need to pay money for training. One day of delay, of course, will not be excluded, but if you do not promptly respond to the dean’s notice about the need to repay the debt and do not make a contribution, expulsion from the university for non-payment cannot be avoided.
  • Underachievement. This wording comes into force if there are three academic debts in one or more subjects:
  • failed tests, exams;
  • two unsuccessful retake attempts;
  • expiration of the “tails” liquidation period - usually the first 30 days after summer holidays or winter session.

Failures in coursework or practice also count as debt.

The rules for expulsion from a university for poor academic performance on the basis of the Model Regulations on an educational institution of higher vocational training are drawn up by all universities, institutes, colleges, academies independently and are prescribed in the charter, therefore the terms and number of retakes, periods for paying tuition may vary.

The application of disciplinary measures, which include expulsion, according to the 6th part of the 43rd article of the law on education, is unacceptable during academic leave, illness and holidays.

  • Other reasons. These include:
  • violation of the internal regulations of the university;
  • untimely exit from academic leave;
  • unjustified absence from examinations;
  • hooligan behavior in dormitories or academic buildings;
  • imprisonment.

Fee-paying students may be expelled when they violate the terms of their contract.

Deduction procedure

If expulsion occurs at the request of the student, an application must be written to the rector, which will be considered within a period not exceeding 10 days.

How to avoid expulsion from university

The student is considered officially expelled only after signing the order.

Be careful! In paid departments, tuition fees are charged until an expulsion order is issued, even if the student does not attend classes.

If the initiator of the exclusion is a university, then the administration must first request a written explanation from the student. Refusal to provide information about the reasons for academic failure, arrears in fees, non-attendance, or unwillingness to explain other circumstances that forced the educational institution to raise the question of the student's status does not prevent expulsion.

If satisfactory and respectful explanations are not provided or there are compelling reasons for disciplinary action, the dean of the faculty sends a reasoned proposal for expulsion to the rector's office. Within three days, it is signed by the head of the university and transferred to the student personnel department, where the corresponding order is issued.

What documents are issued to an expelled student?

In exchange for a walk-in sheet signed in the library, utility room, or dormitory, the ex-student receives his school certificate and all original documents provided upon admission. When transferring to another educational institution, you will need an academic certificate, which lists the courses completed, indicating the number of hours attended and grades received.

It is extremely rare for a student to be expelled without the right to reinstatement and almost never instantly. There is always time and a chance to correct the situation.

Procedure for expulsion from the university

Hello reader! We are together again, and today I want to raise a tragic topic for every student: “Expiration.” This word sounds like a terrible sentence; which means that the student, unwillingly and prematurely, leaves the walls of the university, which, most likely, have already become family to him.

Why does this happen, and where does such injustice come from? To find out the answer to this question, I recommend reading my article: you never know who will find it useful, and who will “get their brains right” in a timely manner. In general, it definitely won’t be superfluous for a student. So, let's try to figure out why a student can be expelled?

Valid reasons for expelling a student from a university

At a university, as at a school, the reasons for expulsion can be valid or disrespectful. If in the second case everything is clear, then what kind of valid reasons are these that allow you to unplannedly leave further studies? There are several of them, and each one is worth focusing on.

1. Own wish. If a student decides that obtaining a higher education is no longer part of his plans, or family circumstances do not allow him to graduate from the university with everyone, then an application of his own free will to the rector becomes the argument that speeds up the expulsion process.

Simply put, this is a bullet point and a radical change in all plans for life.

2. Conscription into the army. As a rule, this reason applies exclusively to students, and female students in this case can breathe a sigh of relief. If the university has military department, and the student is a private, then the spring and autumn conscription into the army is not scary for him.

Otherwise, you can graduate early, and exchange a spacious classroom and a strict teacher for an equally spacious barracks and an equally strict foreman.

3. Transfer to another university. Very often it happens that a student in the middle of the academic year comes to the conclusion that he has not chosen the specialty that he originally dreamed of. Often future profession disappoints with its realities, and rose-colored glasses are broken already in the first or second year.

Transferring to another university is an excellent solution in such a sensitive situation, because studies are not completed, but continue in slightly different conditions.

4. By medical indications . There is a category of students who interrupt their successful studies at a university solely for medical reasons, that is, their poor state of health does not allow them to attend lectures at the university, much less take exams and coursework.

This weighty circumstance must be supported by the conclusion of the Higher Quality Committee, only then the student is quickly expelled. However, they leave him the opportunity to complete his specialty training in the future, even with a different group.

All these are valid reasons for expulsion from the university, which do not put the student on a par with those “loafers” who are simply too lazy to study or find it very difficult to attend classes at the university.

Unexcusable reasons for expelling a student from a university

Very often our capabilities do not coincide with our desires, but, perhaps, even more often, desires are not even associated with real possibilities. How can this be, you ask? Everything is simple, and a striking example are students who consciously create those situations that in the future can become a compelling argument for immediate deduction.

It’s difficult to understand such quitters and loafers, but let’s still try. We will understand state employees and contract employees separately, since each category has its own motivation for deductions.

I am surprised by such unique people who, being applicants, tremble over books and do not sleep at night preparing for the upcoming entrance exams. But when their dream comes true and they become students, they suddenly relax, believing that life is already a success, and all the teachers owe them.

The first problems arise in the first session, since the test week at the university is not even exams at school. Everything here is mature, and most importantly, no one is pulling anyone’s ears: what you earned is what you got.

It is precisely during this winter period that a series of expulsions is coming, and the taken aback first-year student does not have time to come to his senses when he finds himself outside educational process.

So, here’s some advice: if you do catch the “bird of happiness” by the wing and get the opportunity to become a certified specialist for free, try not to be included in the expulsion decree over the next five years.

It is much easier to understand the irresponsibility of contract workers (students studying on a paid basis), since they pay for their studies not with their own money, but with their parents’ money; and nothing prevents their wild life. Such “fruits” are let down by a sense of their own impunity, and thoughts “We pay - we won’t be expelled” very soon they demonstrate completely different realities.

Of course, the dean’s office will tolerate a careless “payer” for a certain period of time, however, warnings addressed to him cannot be endless. So it’s better not to ignore teachers’ comments, but to change your approach and attitude towards studying.

In general, from this section, student, you should understand the following: paid employees and state employees are expelled equally; does not warn the dean's office twice; recovering in the future will be very problematic, especially given the tarnished reputation.

List of unjustified reasons, which can stand on the path to proud knowledge of a specialist, are presented below:

1. Student failure. Teachers are people too, so they are always ready to meet the student halfway and fit into any situation. However, the reasons cannot be endless, and you will still have to take exams at the end of the semester.

It is important to know here: if the exam in three or more disciplines is not passed with at least a satisfactory mark, or the debt is not eliminated within the time period specified by the dean’s office, expulsion from the university is guaranteed.

2. Systematic absenteeism to university. If a student does not show up for class for a long period of time, and after showing up does not provide an official document confirming the objectivity of his absence, this is already considered truancy.

So, absence from the university without a valid reason for two or more weeks becomes a compelling argument for further expulsion.

3. Rowdy behavior and violation of the internal regulations of the university. If a student systematically violates university discipline, and his behavior threatens the lives and safe studies of other students, the dean’s office can forcibly expel him, and do this in the shortest possible time.

Rowdyism in most cases involves appearing at the university while drunk or under the influence of drugs, which extends not only to the walls of the university, but also to the student dormitory.

4. Untimely exit from academic leave. If a male or female student has taken an academic leave, then after the specified period of time has passed, they must report to the university and continue further studies according to the curriculum from the moment they temporarily suspended it.

If an application for admission to classes is not completed a month before the end of the academic leave, or the student does not begin studies within 10 days after its end for good or bad reasons, then such an absence also faces immediate expulsion.

These are the standard reasons why a student can be expelled, but during the educational process the most unexpected situations can occur, which also become a good reason for immediate expulsion.

The dean's office tries to treat all its wards strictly, so you shouldn't once again make your name public. the best side, otherwise one fine day she will appear on the list for deduction, and then you will have to worry a lot.

Regulatory basis for student expulsion

And now a little about the regulatory framework, which should be clearly imprinted in the mind and consciousness of every student who wants to receive a higher education without any problems:

1. All provisions on expulsions are recorded in the charter of each university and it is recommended that you carefully read them individually.

2. The University Charter must be studied, at least for the purpose of self-development.

3. The student is required to be warned 10 days in advance about the possibility of expulsion, and if he does not take action, the decree will follow after this period.

4. After the rector signs the decree, there can be no talk of returning to further studies.

5. The procedure for reinstatement at the university is negotiated individually, and when making a decision, the student’s past services to the university are taken into account.

So, when going to study at university, it is important to understand why you are going there. If you take a walk, then further studies will not work out, and sooner or later expulsion will become inevitable. When a student understands why he is going to study and what to strive for in the future, studying is easy and without worries, and he is called to the dean’s office only for good news.

Conclusion: Having written this article, I myself breathed a sigh of relief that such a fate had passed me by. However, not everyone is so lucky, so the tips presented on the pages of the site will come in handy for those students who are stuck with this problem. real threat, as a deduction.

The rest should know what to be afraid of in the future, so as not to end up in such a scandalous situation. Remember: getting kicked out of university is as easy as shelling pears, but reinstating yourself as a student is very problematic, and for some, unrealistic.

Now you know, why a student can be expelled.

Expulsion of a student from an educational institution is complex process. This causes a large number of problems for both the student and the management of the educational institution. There are a variety of reasons why a student may be expelled. This is often due to the student's academic failure, non-payment of fees or lack of attendance. In addition, the student can stop studying at this educational institution on his own initiative. The procedure for expelling a student from a university depends on the specific case.

Why can a student be expelled from a university?

The Federal Law on Expulsion from an Educational Institution states that if a student does not comply with the rules of the university, he has the right to be expelled from the educational institution.

Reasons for deduction:

  • Violation of norms of behavior in an educational institution, as well as failure to comply with general order;
  • Falsified documentation was submitted upon admission;
  • Violation of payment terms for studies. In this case, after the student pays the debt, he has the right to continue his studies;
  • Inappropriate behavior towards other students or teachers;
  • Frequent absenteeism and poor performance— the most common basis for deduction;
  • At the end of the academic leave, the student did not show up for classes;
  • Consumption of prohibited foods or drinks on the territory of the educational institution;
  • The student came to the university in a state of drug or alcohol intoxication.

Non-attendance

The legislation of the Russian Federation does not provide for punishment in the form of deductions for non-attendance. However, each educational institution has internal Charter, which states that absenteeism can be regarded as academic failure, for which the university has the right to expel. The charter contains information about the acceptable percentage of non-attendance, often from 3 to 5.

It should be noted that if the reason for absenteeism is valid, the student has the opportunity to avoid expulsion. However, he will need to prove this with documentation.

Failure to achieve

Academic failure is a student’s failure to complete the curriculum for passing the exam and passing certifications.

A student is expelled for poor academic performance in the following cases:

  • Did not pass exam paper in three subjects during the session;
  • If the student does not pass the exam with a positive mark after the second retake;
  • When transferring to another faculty, he failed to pass the required subjects;
  • Failed to repay the debt within the time period specified by the educational institution;
  • Did not pass one of the certification papers;
  • The student was unable to cope with the study plan presented by the university;
  • Failed to complete the practical part of the training and did not submit the required reports on it.

Valid reasons for expulsion from a university

In addition to unexcusable reasons for expulsion, there are also valid ones, which, when expelled, do not affect the reputation of the student and the educational institution.

List of valid reasons for expulsion:

  • Student's wish. If a student has decided that he no longer wants to receive an education, or the need to complete his studies is related to family circumstances, he should fill out an application addressed to the rector;
  • The student was drafted into the army. If a university is implementing a program to gain knowledge in the field military training, the student has the opportunity to continue receiving education in his specialty, combining the main faculty with military courses. As a result of this, the student receives a rank and is exempt from military service;
  • Transfer of a student to another educational institution. There are situations when a student realizes that he has chosen the wrong profession. As a result, he wants to transfer. To do this, they fill out an application addressed to the rector;
  • Based on medical report. If due to health conditions the student is unable to continue studying. However, this must be confirmed by the conclusion of a medical advisory commission.

Deduction procedure

Deduction procedure:

  • Employees of the faculty dean's office draw up a document indicating the student's desire to stop studying, as well as the reason and date;
  • Next, the order is sent to the rector for signature. This should be done within three days;
  • After this, dean’s office employees must send the report to the HR department;
  • The student of the educational institution must familiarize himself with this document and also sign to confirm familiarization;
  • In addition, the student is required to sign and present to the dean’s office a bypass sheet, the contents of which include the following: library, contract department, dean’s office, methodologist, dormitory commandant. After affixing all the necessary signatures and seals, the student will be able to pick up the originals of their documents.

The deduction procedure is completed by issuing an order. To draw up an order correctly, you need to familiarize yourself with the structure of filling out the document:

  • The full name of the educational institution and location (city) are indicated;
  • Name and serial number of the document;
  • Personal information about the student;
  • Name of the faculty and specialty of the student citizen;
  • The form in which the person received education;
  • Budgetary or contractual basis of training;
  • The main part of the order indicates personal data and course number;
  • The reason on which the student is expelled from the educational institution;
  • The article of local regulations in accordance with which the deduction process is implemented is indicated;
  • At the end of the order, the signatures of the dean of the faculty, the head of the educational department and the vice-rector for educational and organizational affairs are affixed.

How to appeal the rector’s order on expulsion from the university?

There are often situations when illegal expulsion is made against a citizen receiving education at an educational institution. If there are legal grounds, the student has the right to cancel the expulsion order.

Reasons for deduction:

  • Availability of valid reasons for skipping lectures or failing a session;
  • Expulsion in relation to a student who is on sick leave, on maternity leave or during the holidays is unacceptable according to;
  • A citizen undergoing training has the right to appeal against exclusion from an educational institution if a violation of the expulsion procedure is discovered. For example, if a student does not close the session, and a retake guaranteed by law is not provided, he has the right to declare a violation of his rights;
  • The student has the opportunity to challenge the expulsion if the university management did not notify the student of the expulsion;
    It is possible to appeal an illegally issued expulsion order if the citizen’s complaint addressed to the rector was not taken into account;
  • If the deadline during which disciplinary punishment can be applied to the student has been missed. The designated period is one month from the moment the official learned of the fact of the offense.

If one of the specified grounds is present, the student has the right to challenge the exclusion.

Many students feel that by entering university, they have already done the most important thing. Now all they have to do is calmly wait for their diplomas to be awarded and go to work in their specialty. By the way, a lot has already been said about this in telegrams.

But for some reason everyone forgets that a university is not a school where good classroom teacher will beg subject teachers to put « necessary » marks. This is not a place where teachers almost always forgive rudeness addressed to them, where the administration tries to the last to “hush up” any emergency involving students, etc.

A university is exactly the place where students are treated like adults, and the demand for any misconduct here will not be childish at all. It’s not just easy to drop out of the university, but very easy: there are many reasons for expulsion, and no one will feel sorry for the “flying” student.

Reasons for expulsion from the university: why are they expelled from the university?

Almost all existing reasons for expulsion from the university are listed in the Federal Law “On Education in Russian Federation» and statutes educational institutions. We strongly recommend reading these documents at your leisure - it significantly broadens your horizons and increases your level of legal knowledge.

If you read this documentation, you will find out that the university can expel you for:

  • omissions,
  • debts,
  • inappropriate behavior
  • non-payment.

This, of course, is not exactly the activity that a student wants to do in free time(we mean reading the charter and documents), but extremely useful.

Nobody kicked me out, I left on my own

Reasons for expulsion are divided into 2 categories : respectful and disrespectful.

Valid reasons for expulsion :

  • student's own desire . It is not difficult to expel at your own request: you need to write an application addressed to the rector, wait for the consideration of this application (by law, this procedure lasts no more than 10 days), receive an order of expulsion, a certificate of study, documents on auditions training courses and the number of academic hours;
  • medical indications . Expulsion for medical reasons is possible only after passing a special commission of the Higher Medical Commission. Based on this check, the student is expelled for the time he needs. After the student’s health improves, he can fully recover and continue his studies;
  • conscription . This reason applies exclusively to male students. However, if the university has a military department, then students can breathe a sigh of relief - they will not face spring and autumn conscription;
  • family circumstances, change of residence and transfer to another university . All these points require a convincing evidence base, i.e. it is necessary to provide compelling reasons for the student’s expulsion from the university with written justification and official documents.

And if we consider colleges and vocational schools, then a legitimate question arises: « Why can a minor be expelled from college? » It’s interesting that minor students at colleges cannot be expelled, even if they really want to.

True, there is a way to escape from your native “alma mater”: you just need to provide a certificate stating that another educational institution is ready to accept the student after his expulsion.

Unexcusable reasons for expulsion from the university

In most cases, students, upon entering university, do not realize the seriousness of their new status. And if the irresponsibility of contract workers (pay workers) can still be understood ( « I pay money - they won’t kick me out » ), then state employees are at risk, and under no circumstances should they run into trouble - there will be no mercy.

Unexcusable reasons for expulsion :

  • student's failure to complete syllabus (failed tests or exams, student work not completed on time, failed state tests, etc.);
  • tuition debts (paying students need to be especially careful: until the expulsion order has been issued, fees continue to be charged, even if the student does not actually attend the university!);
  • systematic violations of the rules of behavior in educational buildings and/or dormitories (they rarely get expelled for this, but such a possibility exists);
  • imprisonment (and the student must already have been convicted; students under investigation, as a rule, are not expelled);
  • untimely exit from academic leave (if the application for admission to classes is not completed a month before the start of classes or the student does not appear for classes within 10 days, then he is immediately expelled).

How does the deduction work? The dean informs the rector of the reason for expulsion, he makes a decision and prepares an appropriate order. After the order for expulsion is published, the student submits to the dean’s office student ID, record book and bypass sheet (this document indicates that all the property that belonged to the expelled person was returned to the university). Then he receives the documents that he provided upon admission. From this moment on, the student ceases to be part of the university and can be free!

Fortunately, the law allows students to be reinstated at the university after expulsion. By the way, in order to submit all work on time and not « fly out » from the university, you can contact the student service and sleep peacefully.

There are fewer and fewer warm days, soon the first yellow leaves will swirl in the air... A new one is coming academic year- a hot time for millions of schoolchildren and students. During your studies, the most unforeseen situations can happen, so you need to be as prepared as possible for them. So, today we will look at a very exciting topic - for which a student can be expelled.

One of the main documents that every student should know by heart is the charter of a particular educational institution (regulated by paragraph “d” of Article 13 of the Law of the Russian Federation “On Education”). As a rule, this document is handed to the applicant upon admission. But there are also general rules, which guide all educational institutions.

Valid reasons for expulsion from an educational institution:

1. Bad grades/underachievement.

A student is considered unsuccessful if at least one test or exam is not passed by the end of the session. Expulsion occurs upon presentation by the dean of your faculty, by order of the rector. The wording is universal - “for academic failure.” Problems can arise for a number of reasons - poor grades, inadmissibility to take an exam/test, failure to appear on the day of the exam without a good reason. The rector's order sets a certain period in order to “pay off” existing debts on exams or tests. Risk in in this case inappropriate.

2. For loss of contact with the educational institution.

This formulation is relevant for those cases when the student did not start the learning process within a certain period, or did not return from academic leave to undergo a second year of study.

3. Failure to comply with discipline, as well as committing immoral offenses.

Gross violations of internal regulations include:

Insult (actions, verbal) of employees of an educational institution;

Staying in an educational institution under the influence of drugs or alcohol;

Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the dormitory or on the territory of the educational institution.

In addition, a student may be expelled for regular violations:

Smoking in prohibited places;

Obscene language within the walls of an educational institution;

Damage to walls and property of an educational institution or dormitory;

Inappropriate behavior in the hostel (for example, listening to music loudly after 11:00 p.m.).

There is an important note: In accordance with Art. 16 Federal Law N 125-FZ “On higher and postgraduate vocational education» dated August 22, 1996, disciplinary action (including expulsion from the educational institution) is imposed only after receiving a special explanatory note.

Disciplinary action can be applied no later than 30 days from the date of discovery of a specific offense and no later than 6 months. from the moment of commission. Moreover, the student’s illness time and vacation time are not taken into account. Expulsion during periods of illness, academic leave, maternity and pregnancy leave, or during vacations is unacceptable.

4.Lack of timely payment of tuition (for tuition fees).

5. Good reason. The student’s own desire is another reason for expulsion from the educational institution. In this case, everything happens within 10 days from the date of receipt of a written request from the student. If a student plans to transfer to another educational institution, a certificate in the prescribed form from another university is presented. State of health (based on a medical report), conscription into the Armed Forces are valid reasons for expulsion.

The legislation of the Russian Federation clearly defines the so-called “disrespectful” reasons for expulsion from an educational institution. If a student has objective factors forcing him to stop studying at a university, this is a valid reason that allows the student to be expelled at his personal request.

Unexcused reasons for expulsion from an educational institution:

- Expulsion without objective reasons, at one’s own request;
